Peta is an artist who has always been drawn to creative pursuits, including music, craft, and embroidery. During the pandemic, she discovered Cindy Wider’s, Complete Beginner’s Drawing and Shading course and began drawing, recognising it as a way to build strong foundational skills. What began as a simple creative outlet quickly became her primary passion, and she has been mentored by Cindy Wider since 2022.
Working in coloured pencil, graphite, Derwent Inktense, PanPastel, and pastel pencil, Peta’s practice focuses on realism, portraiture, and illustrative work. She draws ongoing inspiration from nature, family life, and the nativity.
Peta loves nothing more than spending quiet evenings immersed in creating, teaching others to draw, and sharing her work. She now guides students through the same method she learned to draw through herself, as a certified Cindy Wider Method instructor.
