Sue Hamlet is an expressive artist and community practitioner whose work brings colour, compassion and connection into everyday life. With a background spanning community development, counselling, crisis intervention and recovery work, she has spent more than two decades supporting individuals and communities through times of challenge and change.
Artworks range from colourful, naive style work through to subtle, reflective pieces that impart peace, hope and calm.
Sue’s Uplifting Art Cards feature original artwork infused with her counselling and wellbeing knowledge. Each card is designed to spark reflection, encourage gentle self-care and offer moments of calm and insight. Thoughtful as gifts, supportive in group or team settings, and grounding for personal use, the cards bring creativity and emotional wellbeing together in an accessible way.
Alongside her creative practice, Sue is an experienced facilitator who designs and delivers workshops that help people connect, reflect and flourish. She weaves expressive art processes with her grounding in mental health, relationships and community care—creating warm, supportive spaces where participants can explore creativity with confidence.
Sue lives in leafy north-west Brisbane adjacent to Samford, where she continues to blend art and wellbeing in ways that uplift, inspire and bring people together.
