Kylie Harries

Kylie Harries is a multidisciplinary artist educator living and working from her studio The Hay Shed in Lacey’s Creek. Kylie is an avid workshop facilitator, incorporating her passion for teaching and making the arts accessible through community engagement and connection. Kylie is a Flying Arts facilitator and a finalist in the 2023 Moreton Bay Art Prize. She was recently commissioned to design a mural for Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Art At Large: Foreshore Footpath initiative at Woody Point.
Her research-led practice in women’s historical stories drives her selection of media, from cyanotypes to print-making, as well as painting and environmental sculpture. Across these diverse forms, Kylie plays with scale and highlights the broken, rotting and imperfect.
